Had the pleasure of being presented a Merit Award by the Prince of Brunei this week at the 2012 Asia Pacific ICT Alliance ceremony (well actually it was our ACM5500 that was given the award – not me
). The APICTA event recognizes the best in innovation from across the Asia Pacific ICT community and it was great meeting up with so many innovators and entrepreneurs from the region .

However my real APICTA surprise came the following morning when the event featured
as front page news on the Brunei Times… and the article included a photo of myself and other Australian nominees with a tagline identifying us as judges!
And while I was honored, I should highlight this was an innocent case of mistaken identity and I had no role in judging our product’s merit. Also mistaken identities are rarely associated with our ACM5500 as it abounds with identity authentication features (RSA SecurID, RADIUS, TACACS+/LDAP/Active Directory et al).
