USENIX LISA 2012

Arguably our favorite North American trade show is the USENIX LISA event held annually
alternating between the east and west coast. The 2012 event marks our 4th year of participation at this event that hosts many of the brightest sysadmins from around the world.

These brilliant systems administrators emerge from the depths of the Datacenter to converge as a group and review new advancements in technologies and tools to help streamline efficient systems management.

For us at Opengear, the LISA event really feels more like a homecoming or reunion with current customers who have adopted Opengear solutions and freely advocate for our products when lingering near our booth.  We are both grateful and honored to hear praise coming from some of the most talented admins in this arena.  Opengear products provide a flexible connectivity platform to help solve issues they face on a daily basis.  Whether it is automatically provisioning servers with PXE boot via serial console, Serial over Lan (SOL) or even console access to networking devices these attendee’s just get what we do. I suppose this is the reason the LISA event is so much fun, the attendee’s are just as excited about our products as we are.
